Making Meaning from Data

Making meaning is much more than simply summarizing your data. Making meaning from your data consists of four interrelated activities:

  • description
  • analysis
  • synthesis
  • interpretation

These are not sequential steps but intertwined activities that inform and influence each other. Take time to contemplate your data to see emerging patterns and relationships.

Don’t forget to protect the privacy of your data providers as you work with your data.
