Becoming a CLIP Guide

You can share the duties of the CLIP Guide at your college. You may want to team up with someone who has more knowledge, interest, and/or experience in a particular area or who complements your style of leadership. The CLIP Guide(s) has considerable knowledge and experience in:

  • designing and conducting student assessments
  • designing and conducting program assessments/evaluations and/or action research
  • using assessment/evaluation results to take action to enhance student learning
  • organizing participatory meetings
  • managing different types of organizations and organizational issues
  • working with people in many different role groups
  • interacting with people with a wide range of learning, communication, and decision-making styles

The college’s assessment coordinator, a faculty member with research and organizational skills, or an institutional research staff member are likely candidates for a CLIP Guide position.
