Positioning the Inquiry in Your College
 
The purpose of your inquiry will help you determine where to position your inquiry within your college. It may also indicate that there are other people you might try to include as CLIP members.

You may want to position the inquiry within:

As you consider where to position your inquiry, you may initially think of involving only members of your own department—and this is sometimes appropriate; however, to adequately address your purpose, you may want to involve people from various groups within the college.

So from the beginning, be open to working collaboratively with people from other departments and to reaching beyond the college to include community members. Positioning the inquiry may indicate the need for broad membership to increase professional relationships and to bridge differences both between and within departments.
