Sally Bond

Sally Bond is President of The Program Evaluation Group, in Pittsboro, NC and a partner in The Education Consulting Team, in Chapel Hill, NC. As an associate of InSites, she has served as assistant team leader for the evaluation of the National Consortium for Teaching about Asia and data analyst for the evaluation of the Dakota Learning Systems’ Institute for Excellence in Math and Science.

Ms. Bond specializes in the evaluation of education programs and has evaluated instructional and professional development programs in reading, science and mathematics, and instructional technology. She is very experienced in program planning and evaluation design, data collection and analysis of both quantitative and qualitative data, report writing, and technical assistance in evaluation. Recent research projects include studies of the alignment of state and commercial achievement tests with national and state standards and the use of data in schools to make instructional decisions.

Ms. Bond previously worked for Horizon Research, Inc., Chapel Hill, NC, the Clinical Center for the Study of Development and Learning, University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, NC, and the Southeastern Educational Improvement Lab, Research Triangle Park, NC.

Ms. Bond received a B.A. in Social Relations from Lehigh University, Bethlehem, PA in 1982 and an M.A. in Sociology from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, NC in 1988.
