The Spring Presentation and Feedback Multi-CLIP Meeting format provides time for each CLIP to make a presentation and time for feedback. Before the meeting, send out guidelines on the feedback process. This allows CLIP members to prepare in advance for both giving and receiving feedback.

CLIP members prepare for this meeting by thinking not only about delivering their presentation but also about how other CLIP members can help them by giving feedback on an aspect of their work. CLIPs can choose to request feedback on any topic of interest to them. CLIPs may ask other CLIP members for:

  • suggestions for ways to clarify what the CLIP has done and why;
  • perspectives on the CLIP’s interpretation of the data;
  • responses to action steps presented and suggestions for other action steps to take;
  • ideas for communicating the results to others.

CLIPs take about 10 minutes to informally present their inquiry, including whatever results they have to date and their plans for communicating these results.

Then they have 15 minutes for interaction with the group. Members of the other CLIPs may provide specifically requested feedback, ask for clarification, mention that they’re trying a similar approach, express appreciation for the CLIP work, or offer suggestions for other approaches. Most CLIP members find the feedback session very energizing.
