Facilitating CLIP Meetings

Once your CLIP is established, one of your main tasks is to facilitate the CLIP meetings. CLIPs tend to meet at least once a month and, at certain times, they may meet every week or two to complete their work.

It is up to each CLIP to schedule its own meetings. These meetings typically are very participatory, giving all the members a chance to interact and engage in a dialogue about the issues related to the inquiry. These meetings help to build a sense of community because they occur frequently and are characterized by open, respectful conversations among members.

You also can plan some meetings to be primarily informational (e.g., bringing in an expert in conducting group interviews or analyzing data from interviews.)

Three times during the year your CLIP will join other CLIPs at your college for multi-CLIP meetings – Fall Orientation meeting, Mid-Year Adjustment meeting, and Spring Presenttion and Feedback meeting . The CLIP Guide for the college organizes the multi-CLIP meetings. As a CLIP Facilitator, you will take an active part in these meetings.
