Creating an Inquiry Plan

At the Fall Orientation Multi-CLIP Meeting, each CLIP creates an Inquiry Plan. Each CLIP begins the plan by identifying the issues they are focusing on and the preliminary inquiry questions they suggested in their CLIP applications.

The goal for this meeting is for each CLIP to produce an Inquiry Plan for:

  • conducting the inquiry
  • obtaining any assistance needed to carry out the inquiry
  • sharing and using the inquiry results

As you and your CLIP members work through the questions you plan to investigate and the amount of work needed to answer your inquiry questions, you may decide to reduce the number of inquiry questions. Have a Recorder keep track of the discussion. Your Recorder can use a laptop computer to enter the information directly into the Inquiry Plan template.

After your CLIP has completed its Inquiry Plan, the Recorder sends the action plan to the CLIP Guide and the rest of the group electronically.
